My love for cooking and the need to make use of our agricultural products was the starting point. 27 years ago, I began transforming them, first for our home, for us. And somehow, what started out of necessity turned into the work of my life
The first workshop was born in Lamia, at home. Later came a professional space, and that’s where Yiam was born.
Soon, they began to travel – to delis in Athens, to stores across Greece and abroad.
Since 2002, we’ve been based in Agia, in the fertile plain at the foot of Mount Kissavos.
A small town filled with fruits and scents – the perfect place for this beautiful journey of flavors to continue.
From the beginning until today, we have maintained the traditional way of making our jams and sweets, just as we did at home: cooking in small batches using pots. This ensures that our products are processed with care, preserving their natural characteristics. It’s also why our logo features the shape of a pot – a reminder that every jar of Yiam is made in the same way, with the same love and attention.
I feel very lucky to do what I love. I believe that through my work, we keep traditional recipes alive, bringing them into the present.
And every time someone tries a jar of Yiam, I hope they taste more than just a jam.
Inside each Yiam jar, you’ll find pure flavors, made with passion, care, and a lot of dedication.
